CJFE Gala 2011: A Night to Honour Courageous Reporting
The CJFE Gala is an annual event held in Toronto, in support of global free expression. Here we will be keeping you up to date on the events of the evening, as well as international free expression issues. If you are following the event on Twitter, please use #CJFEgala.
The gala is at the Royal York Hotel, in the core of a city eternally under construction (follow the scaffolding for the entrance)

- Time to start! Carol Off, our CJFE Gala Steering Committee Chair, is trying to lure the guests in to the dining room. Unfortunately, it seems that the amazing photo exhibit is a bit too attractive for them!
Here's a look at the incredible photo exhibit, sponsored by Henry's.
It features photographs from Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Libya and Bahrain.- And finally, the doors shut, and the lights dim.
